Egyptian Tourism Minister, Mounir Fakhri Abdul Nour, has announced that the current alcohol ban during the month of Ramadan would be extended to the four major Islamic holidays as well.

As per the aforementioned statement, the concerned Egyptian public holiday would be: the Islamic New Year, the holiday commemorating the Israa and Meraag, Prophet Mohammed’s birthday and the day of Arafa.

Note that, recently (18-Jul-2012), Egypt's Central Bank announced that all Egyptian banks would be partially closed during the upcoming month of Ramadan.
