The permanent secretary to Fiji's Information Ministry, Sharon Smith-Johns, has announced that there was no substance to the rumours that a one-off public holiday was to be declared for Thursday, August 13, 2012, to honor Iliesa Delana victory at the London Paralympics.
The list of public holidays' dates for the calendar year 2012 was announced last year (08-Jun-2011), by the Fiji Governing Cabinet, following a submission by Fiji's Minister for Labour, Filipe Bole.
