The Guatemalan Ministry of Education has announced that Friday, September 14, 2012, would be a schoold holiday (clases en escuelas e institutos públicos solo se suspenderán el viernes, por feriado) on account of the upcoming, September 15, Independence Day non-working public holiday.
The week before the Guatemalan Independence Day non-working public holiday is often declared a full week of school holidays (18-Apr-2007).
