A spokesman for the Iraqi Government, Ali al-Dabbagh, has announced that the Iraqi Council of Ministers had decided to extend the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays to all of next week.
Earlier this week (13-Aug-2012), the Government Iraq's Kurdistani Regional Government had announced similar dates for the non-working public holidays for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr ("On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the Council of Minister in Kurdistan Region decided to announce the period from 19/8/2012 till 23/8/2012 an official holiday in the Region.").
