The Kenyan Government's Head of the Civil Service has announced that the date of the non-working public holiday for the upcoming Idd-Ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) in Kenya would be Monday, August 20, 2012.
Contrary to what happened the past 3 years (19-Aug-2011, 08-Sep-2010 and 11-Sep-2009), Kenya has declared its 2012 End of Ramadan public holiday on the same date as many, though not all, other Muslim countries.
