The government of the Maldives has released its official list of public holidays for the calendar year 2012.
As was the case in past years (04-Jan-2011, 05-Jan-2010, 06-Jan-2009, 04-Jan-2008 and 05-Jan-2007), the list confirms the dates of the Maldives public holidays that are based on the Islamic calendar, and adds the new annual Labour Day public holiday announced last spring (29-Apr-2011).
