(Posted on Friday, August 10, 2012)

Source: Ministère des Habous et des Affaires Islamiques (Rabat)

Morocco's Ministry of Religious Affairs (ministère des Habous et des Affaires islamiques) has announced that the upcoming Aid al Fitr (End of Ramadan) non-working public holidays would be observed, in Morocco, on Monday and Tuesday, August 20 and 21, 2012.

As usual (30-Aug-2011), the upcoming Aid al Fitr public holidays will last 2 days.

Note that, in 2012, the aforementioned dates for the Aid al Fitr non-working public holidays will correspond to 2 of the annual fixed date non-working public holidays of Morocco (Revolution Day and King Mohammed VI's Birthday, respectivley). It is not clear, yet, if the government of Morocco plans to declare an additional public holiday in compensation.
