Nicaragua's Minister of Labour, Jeannette Chávez Gómez, has issued a communique announcing that Wednesday, August 1, and Friday, August 10, 2012, would be a fully-paid public holidays (fueron declarados asuetos remunerados) in the city of Managua (para todos los que laboran exclusivamente en el Municipio de Managua).
As was done in the past (27-Jul-2011 and 30-Jul-2009), the MITRAB communique confirms that the August 1 and 10 annual public holidays are limited, geographically, to the city of Managua (the capital of Nicaragua), rather than the similarly-named, much larger, region (Departamento de Managua).
