The Federal Government of Pakistan has confirmed the dates of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays throughout Pakistan.
The aforementioned announcement means that, including the previous weekend, the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr public holidays in Pakistan will run from Saturday, August 18, to Wednesday, August 22, 2012, which is in line with what was announced in the "expected dates for public and optional holidays for the calendar year 2012" published by the Government of Pakistan at the beginning of the current year (15-Jan-2012).
This year, contrary to what happened for the last 2 years (25-Aug-2011 and 05-Sep-2010), the Government of Pakistan did not extend the duration of the Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays.
