The Philippines House of Representatives has passed, on third and final reading, 102 national and local bills, including six bills on public holidays.
Such public holidays bills are common in the Philippines House of Representatives (16-Sep-2011) and almost never come to fruition, with the list of official non-working public holidays in the Philippines being announced annually by the president of the Philippines (01-Dec-2011, 20-Dec-2010, 22-Jul-2009, and 07-Jan-2009).
