Qatar's Emiri Diwan has announced that the Qatari Council of Ministers had once again decided that public sector holidays, for ministries, other government departments, authorities and public institutions, would be on holidays for 11 days for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays.
As per the aforementioned announcement, public sector holidays, for ministries, other government departments, authorities and public institutions, for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) will be from Thursday, August 16, until Sunday, August 26, 2012, inclusively.
Qatar often extends its annual Eid al-Fitr public sector holidays (24-Aug-2011, 09-Aug-2010 and 17-Sep-2008), but not systematically (18-Sep-2009).
Separate announcements about the upcoming Eid holidays are expected from the Qatar Central Bank (QCB), for banks and financial institutions under its control and from the Qatar Exchange.
