The government of the Seychelles has announced the official list of non-working public holidays in the Seychelles for the calendar year 2012.
Contrary to what was the case for the 2 previous years (19-Jan-2011 and 26-Jan-2010), the aforementioned announcement correctly lists Easter Saturday as a public holiday in the Seychelles, in line with the current public holidays legislation (the Public Holidays Act 1976, an Act to make provision for public holidays; and to provide for matters incidental thereto or connected therewith).
Once again, the announced list of 2012 public holidays in the Seychelles lists International Women's Day, on March 8, as a public holiday, as it had been voted in the Parliament of the Seychelles, 2 years ago (15-Apr-2010).
