Spain's autonomous region of the Balears (ámbito autonómico de las Islas Baleares) has gazetted its official calendar of 2013 regional and national public holidays (calendario laboral).
Contrary to last year, when the official calendar of 2012 regional and national public holidays for Spain's autonomous region of the Balears was gazetted (26-Nov-2011) almost 6 months after it had been announced (21-May-2011), this year's announcement of the 2013 Balears public holidays was followed almost immediately by its gazetting (Boletín Oficial de las Islas Baleares, Num. 137, 18-09-2012).
The gazetted list (Acord del Consell de Govern de 14 de setembre de 2012 pel qual s’aprova el calendari de festes per a l’any 2013 en l’àmbit de les Illes Balears) confirms that for the sixth consecutive year (26-Nov-2011, 19-Dec-2010, 21-Jun-2009, 02-Aug-2008 and 04-Aug-2007), Easter Monday will be one of the autonomy's public holidays, as will the March 1st, Día de las Illes Balears, regional public holiday.
Contrary to what was decided last year and 3 years ago (21-Jun-2009), the announced list of 2013 public holidays does also include December 26 (Segunda fiesta de Navidad), as one of the public holidays in the Balears.
