Sri Lankan National Mourning September 3

Sri Lankan Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, P.B. Abeykoon, has announced that the Sri Lankan government had declared Monday, September 3, 2012, as a day of national mourning following the death of Weweldeniye Medhalankara Thero.

As per the aforementioned announcement, Monday, September 3, 2012, will be a regular working day (ie. not a public holiday) in Sri Lanka, although all liquor shops and bars will be closed.
