Mongolia Extends Naadam Public Holidays

The Parliament of Mongolia has approved amendments to the Law on Celebrating Public Festivals and Memorable Days which add July 14 and 15 as additional annual non-working public holidays in Mongolia.

Three years ago (30-Jun-2011), the Cabinet of the Government of Mongolia had approved the declaration of Thursday and Friday, July 14 and 15, 2011, as one-off non-working public holidays in Mongolia, to link the Naadam annual public holidays with the subsequent weekend. The declaration of Thursday and Friday, July 14 and 15, 2011, as one-off non-working public holidays in Mongolia, were then compensated by Saturday and Sunday, July 9 and 10, 2011, being declared as regular working days in Mongolia.
