Cambodia 2016 Bank Holidays Announced

(Posted on Friday, January 8, 2016)

Source: National Bank of Cambodia (Phnom Penh)

The National Bank of Cambodia (Cambodia's Central Bank) has released a communiqué establishing Cambodia's annual list of bank holidays for the calendar year 2016.

As per custom, the aforementioned communiqué establishing Cambodia's annual list of bank holidays in Cambodia for the calendar year 2016, does not mention any day in lieu bank holidays, though they would follow the recent (05-Oct-2015) Cambodian Royal Government's sub-decree Kor.Bor/Bror.Kor establishing Cambodia's annual list of official non-working public holidays for the upcoming calendar year 2016, which stipulates that "[for] any public holidays which overlap with either Saturday or Sunday, the following Monday will be substituted".

The aforementioned list of bank holidays in Cambodia for the calendar year 2016, does contain an error as it pertains to the Constitution Day (Recoronation of King Norodom Sihanouk) annual non-working public holiday of Cambodia, and we can expect a revised list of bank holidays in Cambodia for the calendar year 2016 to be released in the coming months.
