Gambian Public Holiday February 18

Gambia's president, Yahya Jammeh, has declared Thursday, February 18, 2016, as a non-working public holiday throughout Gambia "in observance of the 51st Independence anniversary of The Islamic Republic of The Gambia".

As per custom (07-Nov-2012, 20-Jul-2012, 27-Dec-2011, 29-Apr-2011, 21-Apr-2011 and 17-Feb-2011), the aforementioned announcement that president Jammeh had declared Thursday, February 18, 2016, as a non-working public holiday throughout Gambia, is signed by the President of the Republic of The Gambia, Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr. Yahya AJJ Jammeh, GMRG, as a FAAICL (Fellow of Australian Asia Institute for Civil Leadership).
