The government of Afghanistan has declared Tuesday, February 14, 2017 (Dalwa 26 in the Afghan calendar), as a non-working public holiday in Afghanistan on account of the upcoming "Soviet defeat and withdrawal from Afghanistan".
The aforementioned announcement, issued by the Afghan Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled, is in line with the 2007 declaration the 26th day of Dalwo (around February 15, according to the Afghan calendar) as a new annual public holiday to commemorate the victory of Mujahidin against the invading Soviet troops (14-Feb-2007 and 16-Feb-2006), as well as with the recently-released list of official non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2017 in Afghanistan (16-Jan-2017).
