Bolivia's Ministry of Labour ("Ministerio de Trabajo, Empleo y Previsión Social, a través de la Dirección General de Trabajo, Higiene y Seguridad Ocupacional"), in its Comunicado 24/2016 has confirmed that the Government of Bolivia had declared Monday, May 1, 2017, as a non-working public holiday in Bolivia on account of the annual, May 1, non-working public holiday of Bolivia.

The annual, May 1st, non-working public holiday of Bolivia has often been the source of an additional day in lieu public holiday in Bolivia when it fell on a Sunday (28-Apr-2016 and 15-Apr-2011), and also in some cases Saturday (29-Apr-2004), though not in recent years (27-Apr-2010), while some bridge holidays were declared on (28-Apr-2012) and off (13-Apr-2014 and 09-Apr-2014).
