The Sri Lankan Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs has announced that the Sri Lankan Government had decided to declare Saturday, September 2, 2017, as a non-working public holiday in Sri Lanka on account of the Hijj Festival which falls on Saturday, September 2, 2017.

The aforementioned declaration of Saturday, September 2, 2017, as a non-working public holiday in Sri Lanka on account of the Hijj Festival, is in line with the official list of Sri Lankan public holidays for the calendar year 2017, as announced last spring (22-May-2016).
