UK To Get 4 New Public Holidays Under Labour

(Posted on Sunday, April 23, 2017)

Source: BBC News

The leader of the UK's Labour Party, Jeremy Corbyn, has announced that, were Labour to win the upcoming, June 8, general elections, his Labour government would create four new UK-wide bank holidays on the patron saint's day of each of the home nations.

Under the aforementioned plan, there would be UK-wide bank holidays on Saint David's Day (March 1), Saint Patrick's Day (March 17), Saint George's Day (April 23) and Saint Andrew's Day (November 30). However, most polls give Labour scant chance of winning the upcoming, June 8, general elections.
