23 Dec 2009 (Cayman 27-Grand Cayman) The Cayman Islands' Governor-in-Cabinet amended the Schedule to the Law on holidays, yesterday, thus officially making Monday, December 28, 2009, this year's public holiday associated with Boxing Day.
24 Oct 2009 (Cayman Islands Government-George Town) The Governor of the Cayman Islands, Mr. Stuart Jack, CVO, has declared Friday, November 6, 2009, as a one-off public holiday, to commemorate the commencement of the 2009 Cayman Islands Constitution.
15 Oct 2009 (Cayman Islands Government-George Town) The government of the Cayman Islands has confirmed the date of the Queen's Birthday public holiday in 2010.
20 Mar 2009 (Caymanian Compass-George Town) The government of the Cayman Islands has released its official list of 2010 public holidays.

Governing Law: Official public holidays in the Cayman Islands are regulated by the 2007 revision to The Public Holidays Law, as published in the Gazette No. 17 of August 20th, 2007.
The Queen's Birthday is observed locally using a rule specific to the Cayman Islands: the Monday following the Saturday designated as the official holiday observance in the UK.
