Governing Law: Official public holidays in Denmark are regulated by the Consolidation Act No. 407 of 28 May 2004 which consolidated the provisions of the Holiday Act No. 396 of 31 May 2000 with its subsequent amendments of 2002 and 2003.
Weekend Public Holidays: Public holidays that occur on a weekend remain on that date (ie. they are not moved to another date, such as the following Monday, for example).
