The Tongan Ministry of Information and Communications has confirmed that Tuesday, September 17, 2013, would once again be an official public holiday in Tonga to mark the Official Birthday of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Tupouto'a ‘Ulukalala.

This "new" public holiday was instituted last year (12-Sep-2012) after King Tupou V died (23-Mar-2012) and the Crown Prince was married (02-Jul-2012) leading to a switch in the dates of the reigning King's official birthday (05-Jul-2013 and 21-Jun-2013).

Tongan Crown Prince Tupouto‘a ‘Ulukalala was born Siaosi Manumataongo 'Alaivahamama'o 'Aho'eitu Konstantin Tuku'aho on 17 September 1985.
