An ARENA member of El Salvador's legislative assembly has introduced a bill that would declare another annual non-working public holiday in El Salvador on May 10, to commemorate Mother's Day (Día de la Madre).
As per the details of the aforementioned bill, this new annual non-working public holiday in el Salvador would be observed on May 10.
Two years ago (2012-11-29), the government of el Salvador had issued a decree declaring June 17 as a new annual non-working public holiday in El Salvador to mark Fathers' Day, to be observed by both the public and private sectors ("un privilegio del que gocen no solo los empleados públicos sino que abarque también al privado").
The following year (2013-06-06), a member of El Salvador's legislative assembly, Claudia Ramírez, has introduced a bill to restrict to the public sector only the observance of last fall's declaration of a new annual public holiday in El Salvador for Fathers' Day. But, to date, this bill has not come out of commission.
