Vanuatu's Head of State, President Iolu Johnson Abbil, on the recommendation of Vanuatu's Prime Minister, Moana Carcasses, has declared Tuesday, January 7, 2014, as another one-off electoral public holiday in Vanuatu.

In the past, Vanuatu election days have often been declared official non-working public holidays, as was done for regional elections (2013-05-30, 2012-05-23 and 2010-04-19), presidential elections (2009-08-28) and legislative elections (2008-09-01).
