The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced that the Government of Kyrgyzstan had decided to declare another additional non-working public holiday in Kyrgyzstan on Monday, March 9, 2015, effectively transferring the upcoming Women's Day annual public holiday of Kyrgyzstan from Sunday March 8.

The aforementioned announcement is in line with the expected, but yet to be released, calendar of annual non-working public holiday in Kyrgyzstan for the calendar year 2015, partially announced late last year (2014-12-26).

Declaring a day in lieu public holiday due to an annual non-working public holiday in Kyrgyzstan falling on a Saturday, as happened last year (2014-03-05), is uncommon, but this normally happens if an annual non-working public holiday in Kyrgyzstan falls on a Sunday.
