Madagascar's Conseil de Gouvernement has finally gazetted the "Décret n° 2015/524 du 24 mars 2015 additif des jours fériés au titre de l'année 2015", which amends the list of non-working public holidays in Madagascar for the calendar year 2015, by the addition of 2 non-working public holidays reserved for Muslims.

Late last month (2015-03-26), Madagascar's Conseil de Gouvernement approved the "Projet de décret portant additif du décret n°2015-055 du 03 février 2015 fixant la liste des jours fériés, chômés et payés au titre de l'année 2015", which included the addition of 2 non-working public holidays reserved for Muslims.

Early that same month (2015-02-05), Madagascar's Conseil de Gouvernement had approved the "Décret fixant la liste des jours fériés, chômés et payés au titre de l'année 2015", which officially declares the list of non-working public holidays in Madagascar for the calendar year 2015, which, as per custom (2014-02-13, 2013-01-30, 2012-01-18, 2011-01-15, 2010-01-20, 2009-01-13 and 2008-01-16), was based upon the recommendation of Madagascar's Ministère de la Fonction publique, du Travail et des Lois sociales. At the time, we had remarked that, this year, there were apparently to be no public holidays reserved for Muslims, contrary to what had been done the 2 previous years (2014-02-13 and 2013-01-30).
