The Royal Civil Service Commission of the Government of Bhutan has announced that Wednesday, November 1, 2017, would be a non-working public holiday throughout Bhutan on the occasion of the upcoming "9th Anniversary of the Coronation of His Majesty The King, Druk Gyalpo Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck".

The aforementioned declaration of Wednesday, November 1, 2017, would be a non-working public holiday throughout Bhutan, is in line with the official list of national and regional non-working public holidays in Bhutan for the calendar year 2017, released last fall (28-Oct-2016) by the Royal Civil Service Commission of the Government of Bhutan.

The anniversary of the Coronation Day of Druk Gyalpo Jigme Khesar has been observed as a public holiday in Bhutan since 2009 (20-Jul-2009, 23-Dec-2008 and 04-Nov-2008).
