The government of Guinea Conakry, through a joint announcement from its Ministre de la Fonction Publique, de la Réforme de l’Etat et de la Modernisation de l’Administration, Billy Nankouman Doumbouya, and Ministre de l’Enseignement Technique, de la Formation Professionnelle, de l’Emploi et du Travail, Damantang Albert Camara, has announced that Monday, October 2, 2017, had been declared as a non-working public holiday in Guinea Conakry on account of the upcoming "59ème anniversaire de l’indépendance nationale".
As usual (2017-08-14, 2017-06-20, 2016-10-01, 2016-07-01, 2016-04-30, 2015-04-24, 2015-04-30, 2015-01-02 and 2014-08-14), the aforementioned announcement, by Ministers Doumbouya and Camara, of Monday, October 2, 2017, as a non-working public holiday in Guinea Conakry, is in line with last January's government of Guinea Conakry announcement (2017-01-24) of its list of 2017 non-working public holidays (jours chômés et payés) in the Republic of Guinea Conakry.
