The Association of Banks in Lebanon has issued an amended version of the annual list of Lebanese non-working bank holidays in Lebanon for the calendar year 2017, as released late last year by the Banque du Liban (Lebanon's Central Bank), by declaring a one-off bank holiday on Friday, September 8, 2017, for a day of national mourning.
That aforementioned announcement of a one-off bank holiday on Friday, September 8, 2017, is in addition to the annual list of Lebanese non-working bank holidays in Lebanon for the calendar year 2017 (2016-12-08).
The Government of Lebanon has also announced that government offices and municipalities would be closed on that date.
