The Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of Lesotho, Tsukutlane Au, has announced that it had declared Saturday, September 30, 2017, as a one-off public holiday in conjunction with the upcoming elections to afford voters time to travel to their respective voting constituencies for the local government elections.

The aforementioned declaration of Saturday, September 30, 2017, as a one-off public holiday in conjunction with the upcoming elections, is in addition to the annual official list of bank holidays and public holidays in Lesotho for the current calendar year 2017, as announced, earlier this year (2017-01-15).
