Libya's ruling National Transitional Council has announced that Thursday, September 21, 2017, had been declared a non-working public holiday in Libya on account of the upcoming annual Islamic New Year 1439 non-working public holiday in Libya for 2017.

The aforementioned announcement that Thursday, September 21, 2017, had been declared a non-working public holiday in Libya on account of the Islamic New Year 1439 public holiday of Libya, is in line with the Libyan National Transitional Council overhaul of the official list of national non-working public holidays in Libya (08-Jan-2012) and the list of annual non-working public holidays in Libya for the upcoming calendar year 2017 (16-Jan-2017).
