The Minister of Interior of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, has announced that the Nigerian Government, had declared Monday, October 2, 2017, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria on account of Nigeria's upcoming 57th annual independence anniversary.
The aforementioned declaration of Monday, October 2, 2017, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria is in line with similar announcements over the past years (2016-09-29, 2015-09-28, 2014-09-25, 2013-09-24, 2012-09-28, 2011-09-26 and 2010-09-23).
