Vanuatu's Speaker of Parliament, Esmon Sae, in his capacity as the Acting Head of State, has declared Wednesday, June 21, 2017, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Vanuatu, following the death, while in office, of Vanuatu President, Baldwin Womtelo Lonsdale.
The aforementioned announcement of Wednesday, June 21, 2017, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Vanuatu, thus amends the list of non-working public holidays in Vanuatu in 2017, as previously-released last summer (2016-08-16).
