Kerala 2018 Public Holidays Amended

The Government of India's state of Kerala has amended its previously-released annual list of the days which will be non-working public holidays in India's state of Kerala for the upcoming calendar year 2018, with the declaration of a regional public holiday on Monday, January 15, 2018.

The aforementioned notification declares a public holiday on Monday, January 15, 2018, in districts that share borders with the Indian State of Tamil Nadu (Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki and Palakkad), on account of the second day of the Pongal festival, "Thiruvalluvar Day", thus amending the annual list of the days which are to be non-working public holidays in India's state of Kerala for the calendar year 2018, as released by the Government of India's state of Kerala, in the G.O.(P) No. 3269/2017/GAD, and signed on behalf of the Governor by the Principal Secretary to the Government, Usha Titus, last autumn (2017-10-13).
