Kazakhstan Deputy Director of the Department of Civil Service, Duman Abilev, has announced that, despite the earlier order from the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokaev, Monday, March 9, 2020, would remain a public sector holiday ("you need to make changes to the law... the order to the Government and the Presidential Administration to work out this issue of transfer was received only yesterday").
Last month (2020-02-01), the Government of Kazakhstan had confirmed that March 7-8-9, 2020, as well as March 21-25, 2020, would be non-working public holidays in Kazakhstan, on account of the upcoming International Women's Day and Nauryz annual non-working public holidays of Kazakhstan, in line with the previously-released annual list of 2020 public holidays in Kazakhstan (2019-11-05 and 2019-08-29).
