This message occurs if you are replacing minicalendar tokens (such as @, $$, or w#) with no text, while using either of the box create, box keep, box modify, or box delete minicalendar dates framing and shading options, as the implementation of these options, in both QuarkXPress and InDesign, requires some text to be present at each tab position.

Solution

The solution is to replace with a character that is unlikely to occur elsewhere in your diary (such as "¢"), and then to use a sara to delete all occurrences of that character, as shown in the image on the right.
