In InDesign text underline can be specified for each character, independently of any character style.

 

That is to say, just like you can override the font size of a particular character, as compared to its character style font size value, you can also override the underline options of some text, as compared to its character style settings.

 

But Q++Studio’s Underline option turns underlining on or off. It does not directly expose the detailed settings available in InDesign’s Underline Options dialog.

 

To specify these settings, define them in an InDesign character style and apply that style.
