National election now on January 22: Earlier, the Electoral Comission shifted the polling date to January 23 next from its initial schedule on January 21, but it once again changed the voting date, this time to January 22, to taking in the religious festival, Swaraswati Puja, of the members of the Hindu community into consideration.
