(Posted on Tuesday, April 10, 2007)

Christians in eastern Nepal rallied on Easter Sunday to urge the government, and the soon to be elected constituent assembly (polls on June 20), to designate Easter Sunday as a public holiday.

Recall that Sundays are normal working days in Nepal, Saturdays being the only weekly day off since 2002 (13-Jan-2001).
