The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has announced that it will extend its upcoming End of Ramadan market holidays, and will remain closed Wednesday, September 23, and Thursday, September 24, 2009.
As such, as weekends in Bangladesh are Fridays and Saturdays, and September 20-22 are nationwide public holidays, there will be no trading and settlement activities from Friday, September 18 (the Shab-e-Qadar public holiday) until Saturday, September 26, 2009, inclusively.
Banks and financial institutions in Bangladesh, however, will remain open on September 23 and 24, 2009.
