The Legal and Legislative Committee of Kuwait's National Assembly has approved a proposal to declare the last 10 days of the month of Ramadan as public holidays.
To take effect, this quasi-annual proposal must be approved by National Assembly and then accepted by the government, which has, in the past, always rejected this type of proposal (17-Aug-2008, 20-Sep-2007 and 13-Sep-2006).
