The Assembly Rules Committee of the American State of California has voted to eliminate Lincoln's Birthday and Columbus Day from the lower house's 2010 holiday calendar.
California's governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, announced last month that he was considering eliminating the public sector holidays for Lincoln Birthday and Columbus Day (14-Nov-2009).
