Costa Rica's Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad Social has announced that the upcoming, annual, October 12 public holiday would be observed on Monday, October 18, 2010.
As per the 2005 amendment to Article 148 of Costa Rica's Labour Code, the public holidays of April 11, July 25, August 15, and October 12, are moved to the following Monday, if they fall on a mid-week weekday (17-Mar-2005). But, since then, the August 15 public holiday was made immovable again (05-Oct-2007).
