El Salvador Declares November 1st Public Sector Holiday

(Posted on Friday, October 29, 2010)

Source: Presidencia de la República de El Salvador (San Salvador)

The government of el Salvador has declared Monday, November 1, 2010, as a one-off bridge public sector holiday.

The day after, November 2, is an annual full public holiday in El Salvador for both the private and public sectors.

These public sector bridge public holidays are relatively common (20-Dec-2007 and 20-Apr-2007) but, despite attempts at making their declaration predictable (01-May-2007), they continue to be declared at the last minute.
