Ghana's Minister for the Interior, Martin Amidu, has announced that his ministry had declared Friday, September 10, 2010, as the date of the upcoming Eid-Ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday in Ghana.
In the past, Ghana has either declared Muslim public holidays early (25-Sep-2008 and 15-Dec-2007) as do Nigeria and Libya, or on a more middle-of-the-road date that follows the Saudi Arabian announcements (15-Sep-2009, 03-Dec-2008 and 10-Oct-2007).
