The government of the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir have declared public holiday to coincide with the upcoming Jamat-ul-Vida, on Friday, September 3, 2010.
That the aforementioned announcement represents a move forward of 7 days, as compared to the originally gazetted date of September 10, 2010, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramzan.
The Indian state of Uttarakhand, who had also gazetted the 2010 Jamat-ul-Vida state public holiday on September 10, has not, so far, indicated that they plan to change to gazetted date.
