The Government of India's state of Tamil Nadu has announced the days which shall be non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2011.
As per custom (19-Oct-2009), the aforementioned announcement states that the listed dates are "in addition to Sundays expressly defined as public holidays" although public holidays falling fall on Saturdays and Sundays have been indicated in the above list "for easy reference".
