The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has announced that it, and all banks in the Maldives, would remain closed from Thursday, November 11, until Saturday, November 20, 2010, inclusively.
The aforementioned announcement was made despite grave reservations from the Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MNCCI), and mirrors the recent declaration of Sunday, November 14, 2010, as a one-off public holiday (21-Oct-2010).
